UPCOMING EVENTS

Take Back the Night events began in the 1960s in Belgium and England with protest  about how women were not able to be safe walking down the street alone. Since these early events Take Back the Night has grown into hundreds of events in communities of all sizes and locations, including an awareness walk on the Southwest coast of Newfoundland, specifically in the Town of Port aux Basques. The unifying theme of these events is to bring awareness to sexual violence and provide support for victims. We will announce the date of our local awareness Take Back the Night event in early September.
